Jodhpur: The Blue City
9/09/09 to 9/11/09

And a la Jaipur, the old city was once painted for the arriving Maharaja...only in Jodhpur's case, the color was an electric blue. I can't say that I experienced anything substantial in Jodhpur; however the kindness and slower pace I experienced in Jaisalmer followed me to Jodhpur. I was also able to socialize more with my new found Argentine friends. We had booked rooms in the same hotel which meant I always had company for meals, walking the city and touring the fort (which incidentally was directly behind our guesthouse - a real steal at 250 rps. with my own balcony overlooking the city and Maharaja's Palace). I've valued their company and will surely miss it after we've parted ways. More to come...I'm tired of writing.
